“I want to be an inspiration to follow Jesus and lead as many as possible to His feet,” says Alex Clemente in his engaging way. Joining us this summer from Tuxtla Gutiérrez in Chiapas, the south of Mexico, Alex came to head up the literature evangelism program in Lebanon. He is well qualified as he put himself through school working for 8 years as a literature evangelist. He always dreamed about serving in a country in the 10/40 window and was thrilled when God orchestrated it so that at the very last moment before accepting a call to pastor, he received a call to come to Lebanon. After a successful summer program, he is now leading a missionary scholarship canvassing program to reach others and help students such as himself through school. Alex has created a formal Literature Evangelism Club and is planning a winter blitz over Christmas break. In addition to serving as Literature Ministries Coordinator, he is also the men’s assistant dormitory dean. In his free time, Alex enjoys reading, exploring Lebanon, and movies. He especially likes seeing the historical places and while he hasn’t found a favorite place in Lebanon yet, he loves downtown Beirut.
