I earned my BS in Biology from Union College (Lincoln, NE, USA) and my PhD in Cell & Molecular Biology from the University of Notre Dame (Notre Dame, IN, USA). I have experience in the pharmaceutical industry, academic research in cell & molecular biology, and university teaching.
My research interests are in breast cancer and prostate cancer. My past work has focused on p190B RhoGAP and TGF-beta in mammary gland development and breast cancer progression. I have also investigated the mechanism of action of natural products against prostate cancer cells, and I currently have a collaborative project investigating marker proteins of castration-resistant prostate cancer in patient tumor samples.
I enjoy swimming and cycling, classical music, gardening, birding, and studying Arabic.
