Year-End SA Trip to Taanayel

The Student Association has been very dedicated in their efforts this year to create a variety of student experiences that strengthen their connections with the community and each other. On Friday, May 5, faculty and students enjoyed a day on Taanayel farm with its own organic dairy, recycling plant which was the first to be established in Lebanon, and beautiful lake surrounded by pathways lined with trees. Lunch was served at the adjoining Ecolodge, also run by the farm owners, where everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch of classic dishes such as fattoush, hummus, and tabbouli. After celebrating Dr. Carlos and Dr. Leif’s birthdays with cake, they toured a lifesize diorama of Lebanon, with different sitting rooms decorated with traditional decor representing the different areas of Lebanon.
